A clearer picture.

Visiting the site, emailing the team and using an ARIA workspace are different situations. Here is what each involves, who to contact and how to exercise your rights.

Who to contact

Galon is a project operated by Label Retail, Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. ARIA is its AI assistant. For questions about this website or your data, contact contact@galon.ai.

If you interact with ARIA on behalf of a business, also identify that business: it determines the purpose of the service offered to you, while Label Retail operates the technical service.

AI transparency & the European framework

ARIA is an artificial intelligence system, not a human adviser. The public preview contains an example written to illustrate the journey; it is not a live AI response.

The European AI Act requires people to be informed when they interact with an AI system, subject to the conditions in Article 50. That information must be accessible from the first interaction; a privacy page alone is not a substitute.

The AI Act does not set a universal retention period for chatbot conversations or contacts. Where the GDPR applies, retention must be limited according to the purpose, with any other applicable legal obligations taken into account. A specific retention schedule must therefore be defined for the actual processing.

What happens in each situation

Your situationInformation involvedPurpose
Public pagesTechnical connection information needed to deliver and protect the website.Display pages and operate the service. The illustrated preview does not send your text to an AI.
Email to the teamYour email address, message and any information you choose to include.Handle your enquiry and the follow-up you request. Clicking an email link opens your email app; it does not register you on the website.
ARIA workspaceAccount information, messages, documents and contact details submitted through the enabled features.Provide the requested service, maintain the conversation and make the result available within the authorised workspace.
Connected channelsMessages and associated technical information when an email, WhatsApp or other channel is enabled.Route the exchange through the chosen channel and respond in the context of the relevant business.

You do not need to create an account or provide personal information to read the public presentation. Information you voluntarily send by email or enter in an authorised workspace is a separate interaction.

How information is used

Information is used to handle requests, provide the service in the relevant workspace, support the user and assess response quality. The existing service policy states that personal data is neither sold nor used for advertising.

Only provide information needed for the task. Do not send passwords, payment card details or information about another person without being authorised to do so.

Hosting, AI and other services

The service’s application hosting is with OVHcloud in the European Union. Workspace access controls are designed to separate each business’s data.

Hosting location and AI processing location are different matters. When an AI feature or connector is used, the information required for that operation may be transmitted to the configured provider. The provider and its conditions depend on the service enabled for the workspace.

Ask the team for the providers, processing locations and applicable conditions for your trial before sharing confidential material. This page does not promise that every processing operation stays within the European Union.

If you choose WhatsApp, the exchange also passes through WhatsApp Business (Meta). Email and other connected channels involve their own operators and terms.

Cookies and browser storage

The public Galon presentation, capabilities and privacy pages do not embed advertising trackers or third-party analytics. Their fonts are served with the pages. A language choice is carried in the page address.

The capabilities page reads the product’s public inventory to show current information. This does not send a message to an AI. An authenticated ARIA workspace may use browser storage needed for its session and preferences; this is distinct from the public presentation.

Retention and deletion

Retention depends on the type of information, the requested service and the requirements of the relevant business. There is no single published retention period covering every workspace and connected channel.

Do not assume that a conversation disappears when you close a page or sign out. For the period applicable to your exchange, or to request deletion, contact the team and name the business or workspace concerned.

Deletion requests are reviewed in light of the data concerned and any applicable retention obligations. This page does not promise automatic deletion after an unverified period.

Access, correction and deletion

You may request access to your information, correction of inaccurate data, an export or deletion, subject to the rules that apply to your situation. You may also ask about objection or withdrawal of consent where relevant.

  1. Email contact@galon.ai with a clear description of your request.
  2. Identify the business or workspace, the channel used and an approximate date. Do not include your password.
  3. The team may need proportionate information to establish that the data concerns you and to direct the request to the relevant business.

The service’s stated response target is 30 days. The team will explain if your request requires more information or is subject to a retention obligation.

For information about data protection in Côte d’Ivoire, consult ARTCI. For an explanation of transparency and information rights, see the CNIL guidance; which rules apply depends on your situation.
